Stuart Spray Wildlife Consultancy specialises in protected species and habitat survey, mitigation and licensing throughout Wales, Scotland and northern England.
Over the past 15 years we have developed particular expertise in ecological surveys associated with renewable energy, building renovations, brownfield sites and railway maintenance.
We are an ethical company who works hard to balance the genuine needs of our clients whilst striving to protect the environment.
We work on projects ranging from bat surveys in Manchester to windfarm developments in Inverness and from protected species surveys in Dumfries and Galloway to Phase 1 habitat surveys in Lanarkshire.
Contracts over the past 12 months have ranged from Preliminary Bat Roost Assessments (PRA) for viaduct upgrading near Glasgow to bat activity surveys of buildings managed by Dumfries and Galway Housing Partnership (DGHP) and from badgers surveys at sandstone quarries near Lockerbie to a habitat survey for proposed leisure development in the Scottish Borders.
In addition to our consultancy work, we also offer pro bono support for environmental charities, helping to tell the story and raise the profiles of great people and projects in the UK and around the world. Charities supported over the last 12 moths include Greenpeace UK, The Pole Pole Foundation and OneKind.
